Is there too much noise in the area where you are working in the Library?
If someone is disturbing your study by chatting or making a noise, you can email us and a member of staff will attend as soon as possible. Email librarynoise@live.co.uk between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, telling us the floor number, your location (e.g. computer cluster student union side) and brief details of the problem. Alternatively, please inform any member of our roving staff or call at the Library iZone.
Floor 3 is a designated silent floor. If you want to study quietly, floor 2 is a designated quiet study floor. If you want to work in a group, then floor 1 is designated for quiet group work. There are also bookable spaces for group work, please visit http://tees.libcal.com/booking/grouprooms.
Mobile phones should be switched to silent/vibrate in the library building. We ask that you use your phone with consideration for other customers, and that you do not use your phone on floor 3.
We aim to provide a range of study environments to customers. If you are unwilling to comply with these guidelines you will be asked to move to another floor and could be asked to leave the building if the problem persists.
