Library & Information Services welcomes its new Director, Liz Jolly

Library and Information Services welcomes its new Director, Liz Jolly, who took up her post earlier this month. Liz replaces Ian Butchart who retired in August.

Before coming to Teesside, Liz was Associate Director (Services and Operations) in Information and Learning Services (ILS) at the University of Salford. She is a Fellow both of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) and the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).

Liz has been Chair of the CILIP University, College and Research Group since 2004 and is a member of the CILIP Policy Forum. Her professional interests include: the student experience; development of libraries as spaces for learning and academic collaboration; staff learning and professional development and cross-sectoral partnerships.
